La Pampa mobile Argentine grill brings fresh, local food from the-farm-to-street this summer and fall. Regular days and hours are: Fridays for lunch, and Saturdays and Sundays from noon-5pm at Peifer Orchards, on St. Rte. 68 one mile north of Yellow Springs (with the exception Fri, Sat & Sun Aug 24-26, where La Pampa will be at the Clifton Music & Arts Festival).
There is also still space available for Mariano’s presentation, Sunday, Aug 19 – “Garden to Table: Cooking with Fresh Foods” presented by Greene County Parks. Mariano will present ways to preserve and prepare fresh vegetables from your garden and local meats–from pickling and salt-cured vegetables to “pollo al ajillo” tapas, “chorizo a la portuguesa” and more, all to taste! 5pm at Clifton Reserve Lodge, $60, reservations required, call 937.562.6440
